NFL Turkeyday Games And A Happy Thanksgiving!

November 22, 2012

Entertainment, Sports

I started off last week on a hot note. I went 11-2, so it’s going to be hard to top that, but here I go.

Detroit vs. Houston

This game features two of the great traditions of the NFL: Detroit playing on Thanksgiving and the Lions losing on Turkeyday. At this time last year, the Lions were on fire and there was talk of them being a Super Bowl contender. After losing to the Packers last year on Thanksgiving and losing control, they went in the crapper, finishing the season 3 and 3 and losing in the first round of the playoffs. They have never been the same.

Houston is the popular choice to be this year’s AFC Super Bowl representative, but after last week’s disastrous win over Jacksonville, we will have to wait and see. They still do not have the heart of a champion. Otherwise, they would have crushed a wounded foe.

The Texans will win, but don’t confuse them with a Super Bowl team.

Washington vs. Dallas

The Cowboys are one of the great mysteries of the NFL.  They have talent, money, a big, fancy building and an uber-rich owner.  But, like the Tin Man, they have no heart.

RG3 will run wild in Dallas, and the Cowboys will collapse in his wake.

The Redskins win a close one.

New York Jets vs. New England

Team Rex escaped, last week, against the listless Rams and was one of my two misses. However, this week is different and the Pats are the opponent. Tom Terrific will light Team Rexy up and the score could get wild. Then, watch the excuses boom from NYC.

Pats win and the Jets blame everyone but themselves.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!
