Pardon Our Progress!

November 19, 2012

As most of you know by now, we have made the decision to transition from a print edition newspaper with a web presence, to a web-only news organization.

Although the decision to cease publication of a print edition was a difficult one, we are very excited about the opportunities that come with being 100% digital.

The primary benefit that accrues from this move is that we can now focus all of our energies on delivering the most relevant news, commentary, sports and other information to you as quickly as possible. No more holding a story until the print edition comes out, and that’s huge for you, our readers. You’ll learn about what is going on in your community virtually as it happens.

Another wonderful thing about being web-based is that, now that we are no longer constrained by page-count limits, we can provide you with more news and information than ever before.

As part of this transformation, we are going to be launching a new website, with more features and a whole new look. Don’t worry, though – we still plan to offer the same writers and columnists to which you have grown accustomed, plus the site will be more user-friendly than ever. And, of course, our web address will remain the same:

Although these changes will be implemented over the next week, most of you will not notice anything different until the new site is live. While these changes are being made behind the scenes, we will continue to publish articles and columns on our current site – so you will not miss a thing!

We are excited about this new look, and we know that, once you see it, you will be, too!
