The Lady Bulldogs hit the road for the second-straight game, looking to bounce back from a 67-53 setback at Arkansas on Sunday that dropped them to 14-13 overall, 4-10 in the SEC.

Mississippi State will be trying to finish the season on a strong note for head coach Sharon Fanning-Otis, who announced her retirement from coaching on Monday.

Seniors Porsha Porter and Diamber Johnson look to guide MSU to a solid finish, as they reach the home stretch of their Lady Bulldog careers.

Porter has been outstanding the past three contests, leading the team in scoring with a 14.0 average. The SEC leader in steals with 3.2 per game, Porter has averaged a team second-best 13.1 points this season.

Porter follows Diamber Johnson on the scoring list, this season. Johnson has enjoyed a stellar season, averaging an SEC third-most 15.2 points.

The Pontotoc native also rates fifth in the league, with 3.9 assists per game this year, but she has dished out 13 the past two games.

Mississippi State, the SEC’s second-best team in field goal percentage defense and three-point defense, will need another strong effort against a Florida squad that is shooting 40.9 percent on the year.

The Gators (17-10, 7-7 SEC) snapped a two-game losing streak Sunday, with a 61-57 victory against Georgia. Jennifer George eclipsed her team-leading 12.9 points average with 15 points against UGA. She also tops the Gators with 9.0 rebounds per game.
