Saturday’s Benefit for Daren Coggins event was a big hit, and Scott, Angii, Steve, Matt, and Lindsey, the event organizers, would like to thank everyone for their participation. Scott sent us the following message:
SPECIAL THANKS TO: THE FRIENDS BEHIND THE BENEFIT FOR CONTACTING ME AND ASKING ME TO BE A PART OF THE EVENT. IT WAS TRULY AN HONOR AND A MEMORY I WILL NEVER FORGET. THE AMERICAN LEGION FOR HOSTING THE EVENT. CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK FOR THE RADIO ADS, KELLY JO HINES, ALL BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS THAT DONATED ITEMS FOR THE SILENT AUCTION AND DOOR PRIZES, AND ENTERTAINMENT, LIKE TO THANK KEITH AND MARGIE, KELSEY COLLINS, SOUTHERN STYLE BAND, CHARLIE BURGIN AND BEN FERRELL, AVENUE RHODES, JOSEPH ST JOHN AND LARRY PRIEST, MOOKIE, BACKWOODS BAND. ALSO PAUL TRIMM FOR PROVIDING THE P/A AND ALL EQUIPMENT. ALL THE BUSINESSES THAT ALLOWED DONATION JUGS, EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT SHOWED UP OR DONATED IN SOME WAY. REAL STORY PUBLISHING AND THE COLUMBUS PACKET. I KNOW I AM LEAVING SOME PEOPLE OUT, AND I APOLOGIZE. THERE ARE SO MANY THAT MADE THIS EVENT POSSIBLE; SO MANY LINKS IN THE CHAIN. THERE WILL BE AN OFFICIAL RELEASE DONE VERY SOON THAT WILL HAVE EVERYONE ON IT. THESE ARE THE ONES I CAN THINK OF BROAD-BASED PERTAINING FROM THE ENTERTAINMENT END, SO YOU CAN RUN THE STORY WITH THE PICTURES. WE WILL GET THE OFFICIAL RELEASE TO YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, WRITTEN UP AND APPROVED BY ANGELA. THEY ARE IN TULSA NOW, AND WE LIKE HER TO APPROVE ALL ITEMS; HOWEVER, THIS CAN BE DONE FROM ME AS A INTERVIEW OF SUCH FROM ME.

From the crew:Angii Stephens,Scott Farrell,Chris Kelley,Steven Plant,Lindsay Hobbs Atkins,Matt Haney,Kelly Jo Hines we were all friends who wanted to make a difference and decided to put this event together.The Theme “Friends making a diffference for Daren” is just an example of what one person wants to do and takes the initial step to make happen and more get on board.We would all like to thank everyone for making this event the success it was.Daren we love you and we have you in our prayers every single day.-SF
